Trips

The cottage is a perfect place to start your trips in the South Bohemia region from. On this page, we give a list of the activities you can do near the cottage and a few most interesting trip destinations like Slavonice, Bítov castle or bike trips to Austria (it is only seven kilometres to the border). You can bike to the Renaissance town of Slavonice or to Bítov castle, both of which lie a short distnace from the cottage. If you feel like doing more demanding bike trips, you can use a dense system of bike routes the region offers. Nearby Austria has a system of bike routes as well (see Raabs an der Thaya town). You can go fishing in a nearby lake Dešná, which is only 2 km away.

You can also swim there. Plačovice stables give beginner riding lessons. If you are experienced, you can just ride for fun. The services provided include coach trips, travelling in the country for more days and others.
The town of Slavonice is a beatuiful and unique complex of Renaissance and Gothic sights nominated for UNESCO list.

Slavonice underground is one of the oldest parts of the town and most probably comes from 12th century.
